Ingredients You Need
Here are the simple ingredients you need to make this white chocolate covered Oreos. Skip to the recipe card for exact measurements.
- Oreos: Classic or double-stuffed work best for a sturdy base.
- White chocolate melting wafers: Smooth and easy to use for coating.
- Junior Mints: The perfect size for the “heel” of the paw.
- Mini brown M&Ms: Create the “toe pads” of the paw print. I used the most of the brown M&Ms from one large bag.
- Sanding sugar: Adds a snowy, sparkly effect.

How to Make Oreo Polar Bear Paw Cookies
Here are the simple steps, with photos, to make these polar bear paw cookies. Skip to the recipe card for the printable version.
Step 1. Dip the Oreos: Melt the white chocolate in the microwave until smooth. Submerge each Oreo, coat fully, and lift with a fork.
Step 2. Decorate the Paw Print: Place a Junior Mint at the bottom of the Oreo and arrange 4 mini M&Ms above it to create the toes. Sprinkle generously with sanding sugar.
Step 3. Set the Cookies: Place them in the freezer for 5-10 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
Expert Tips
- Work Quickly: White chocolate can set fast, so dip and decorate a few cookies at a time.
- Use Quality Chocolate: Melting wafers create a smooth and even coat. Avoid white chocolate chips, as they can seize easily.
- Customize the Design: Try colored sanding sugar or swap the M&Ms for other small candies to match a party theme.
- Keep Chocolate Smooth: If it starts to thicken while dipping, microwave for 10-15 seconds to re-melt.

Store Oreo Polar Bear Paw Cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 7 days. My M&Ms started to lose their color as they thawed, so I don’t recommend this if possible.

- 1 13.9-ounce package Oreos
- 1 box Junior mints
- 100 mini brown M&Ms from 1 family size package of mini M&Ms
- Sanding sugar
Instructions

- Drop one Oreo in the melted chocolate and use a fork to flip it over to coat all sides. Lift it out and shake off any excess white chocolate, scraping the bottom across the edge of the bowl to remove it all so it doesn’t pool around the Oreo.1 13.9-ounce package Oreos
- Set the chocolate covered Oreo on the parchment paper and place one Junior Mint in the bottom center of the Oreo as the pad of the foot. Place 4 brown mms on surrounding the top for the toes. Generously sprinkle with sanding sugar. Repeat with the remaining Oreos. I like to dip and decorate 5 Oreos at a time.1 box Junior mints, 100 mini brown M&Ms, Sanding sugar
- Transfer the decorated Oreos to the freezer for 5-10 minutes to set completely. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. Decorated Oreos freeze well but the mms can lose color as they defrost.
