An Every Day Matcha Collagen Latte

A matcha collagen latte is a creamy green tea latte blended with collagen peptides for added protein and staying power. It’s lower in caffeine than coffee, naturally dairy-free if you want it to be, and ready in under 10 minutes.

This version uses almond or cashew milk, collagen peptides, a touch of healthy fat, and properly whisked matcha so it turns out smooth and frothy every time. No clumps. No bitter taste.

If you’re trying to reduce coffee, support balanced energy, or add more protein to your morning without another smoothie, this is my favorite place to start!

I started making this when I realized three cups of coffee before noon was not helping my hormones or my energy. Matcha gives me a calmer boost, and adding collagen means I’m not starving an hour later. It feels indulgent, but it functions like fuel.

Ever since being diagnosed with PCOS, I’ve been a matcha lover! I reduced the amount of coffee I was drinking and swapped in matcha for a little less caffeine, and I’ve been hooked on this matcha green tea latte ever since.

Not only is it great for you and gives you a boost it’s also a great way to add some extra supplements into your diet by drinking them. My favorite thing to add to my matcha latte is Garden of Life Grass Fed Collagen Peptides.

What Is a Matcha Collagen Latte?

A matcha collagen latte is made by whisking matcha powder with hot water first, then adding hot milk blended with collagen and optional fat like butter or coconut oil.

The key difference from a regular matcha latte is the added collagen, which increases protein and makes it more filling. When blended properly, the collagen dissolves completely and does not change the flavor (same taste, added nutritional value!).

Is a Matcha Collagen Latte Healthy?

Yes, when made with simple ingredients, it can be a balanced morning drink.

Matcha contains antioxidants and provides steady caffeine without the sharp spike many people feel from coffee. One serving typically contains about 40 to 70 mg of caffeine, compared to 90 to 120 mg in coffee.

Adding collagen provides about 18 to 20 grams of protein, which helps with satiety and blood sugar stability. Pairing it with a healthy fat like coconut oil or grass-fed butter can help keep you full longer.

If you’re managing PCOS or focusing on hormone balance, this is often easier on cortisol levels than multiple cups of coffee.

For me, this is less about skin benefits and more about steady mornings. As a mom of 3, it helps me transition into the day without the jittery crash that used to send me reaching for a second coffee.

How to Make a Matcha Collagen Latte

  1. Start by adding the matcha powder to your serving mug with sweetener and hot water. Mix well using a bamboo whisk, metal whisk, or spoon. Then, set it aside to get your milk ready.
  2. Heat the milk in the microwave or over the stove, then add the butter or coconut oil and the collagen. Use a blender or handheld frother to get the milk mixture really foamy. If you’ve ever had matcha that tasted grassy or chalky, it was likely under-whisked or overheated. Proper whisking makes all the difference.
  3. Pour the milk over the green tea mixture in your serving mug and enjoy!

How to Make It Smooth and Frothy Every Time

The texture depends on three things:

  1. Whisk the matcha with hot water first. Never add dry matcha directly into milk. It will clump.
  2. Add collagen to hot milk, not the matcha mixture. Collagen dissolves best in hot liquid.
  3. Blend or froth the milk mixture before pouring. This creates a creamy, latte-style texture and evenly distributes the fat.

If you skip blending, the coconut oil or butter may separate.

FAQs

Does collagen change the taste?

No. Collagen peptides are flavorless and dissolve completely in hot liquid.

Can I make this iced?

Yes. Whisk the matcha with hot water first, then let it cool slightly. Blend milk and collagen separately and pour over ice. Skip the butter or coconut oil for iced versions.

Can I use different milk?

Yes. Cashew milk, almond milk, oat milk, or regular dairy milk all work. Choose one that froths well for best texture.

Is this a full breakfast?

It contains protein and fat, but most people still prefer to pair it with a high-fiber breakfast, like baked protein pancake bowls or mediterranean breakfast bowls for longer satiety.

Notes

To make an iced matcha latte: add ice to the matcha mixture and blend milk and collagen together. Pour over matcha and ice, leaving out the butter or coconut oil.
Make-ahead: If mornings are rushed (like mine!), you can pre-mix your matcha and keep it in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Just heat and froth your milk when ready.

Thanks for your post. One other thing is the fact that individual states in the United states of america have their own personal laws which affect property owners, which makes it very hard for the our elected representatives to come up with a new set of rules concerning foreclosures on people. The problem is that every state features own laws and regulations which may work in an unwanted manner when it comes to foreclosure policies.
