Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Reveal

This modern farmhouse kitchen is full of black and white decor, accents of greenery and a few industrial pieces too. What is modern farmhouse?

Classic farmhouse style evokes feelings of warmth and comfort. It’s classic and inviting so it makes you want to stay a while! Modern farmhouse keeps those same principles but adds a few modern touches of clean lines and stark contrast of colors.

How do you create a modern farmhouse kitchen?

1. Neutral colors on the walls
2. Create contrast with whites and blacks
3. Add earthy-tones like wood, greenery and brown leather
4. Create dimension like shiplap, layered cutting boards and stackable books
5. Mix old and new elements and even add some industrial pieces (like our faucet!)

Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Reveal!

Custom Kitchen Island: This island was custom designed by Camille Woodworking. He did an AMAZING job and it was the design inspiration for the entire kitchen’s look and feel. The back is custom white shiplap and the cabinets and drawers add so much more storage. We love having our trash can pull out at the end. It looks great and it’s functional.

Camille Woodworking also custom created our floating shelf above the sink and it’s the perfect addition for this farmhouse kitchen. HIGHLY recommend using him for all handmade furniture, countertops and cabinets.

Custom Countertops: We used a local shop called Affordable Granite for our quarts countertops. They did a great job and were easy to work with!
