Steak Seasoning Recipe

When it comes to cooking a good steak, the right steak seasoning can make all the difference. Nothing compares to the flavors and aroma of homemade steak seasoning for ribeye and other cuts of steak!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1 Tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 Tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 Tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 3 teaspoons dried rosemary
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Mix together all of the dry rub spices in a small bowl. Use the seasoning right away or store it in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
  • When you're ready to season, pat the steak dry and sprinkle on approximately 1 teaspoon on each side of the steak. Add more as needed before searing, grilling, or broiling.

Notes

Note 1. Serving Size. This recipe makes 8 tablespoons of steak seasoning, which is enough seasoning for approximately 8 lbs of steak (1 Tablespoon per pound).
