This honey glazed salmon recipe is baked in the oven and done in 30 minutes. The glaze is made with soy sauce (or coconut aminos), garlic, lime juice and honey and coated int he salmon before baking to flaky perfection. My favorite sides to go with this are rice, quinoa and roasted veggies.
Chopped green onion or parsley for servingoptional
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 425°F and arrange the oven rack to the middle position. If the rack is too close to the top of the oven, the honey in the glaze may burn. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
Make the honey glaze: Whisk the honey glaze ingredients in a large oven-safe skillet until the cornstarch is dissolved. Bring it to a gentle boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently for 1-2 minutes, until thickened. Transfer the glaze to a separate bowl, removing as much as possible from the bottom of the pan so it doesn't burn while you sear the salmon.
Season the salmon: Pat the salmon dry and place it in a medium bowl or on a cutting board. Drizzle with 1 Tablespoon of olive oil and toss with salt, paprika, and red pepper flakes.
Glaze the salmon: Heat another drizzle of olive oil in the same pan over medium-high heat. Place the salmon in the pan, flesh-side-down, and sear for 2-3 minutes. Flip the salmon over and drizzle a teaspoon or two of the prepared glaze on top of each filet. Use the back of a spoon to spread it on top. Be careful not to dip the spoon back into the glaze because you'll need it when the salmon is baked.
Bake the salmon: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake in the preheated oven until the internal temperature of the salmon reaches 125-130°F, 8-11 minutes.
Glaze and serve: Brush the remaining glaze over the salmon and serve with green onion or parsley, rice, or roasted veggies.
Notes
Note 1. Salmon. You can purchase salmon with the skin off and you’ll get the similar results. I just prefer skin on because it helps prevent the salmon from burning.Storage: Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
