Italian Sprinkle Cookies

Butter

What You Need:

Granulated Sugar

Powdered Sugar

Eggs

Vanilla Extract

Almond Extract

Flour

Baking Powder

Salt

Sprinkles

Wet Ingredients

Add the eggs, vanilla, and almond extract to the butter and sugars and beat  for 2-3 minutes. The mixture will be loose.

Dry Ingredients

Turn the mixer down to low and  add the flour, baking powder and salt. This helps prevent the flour from flying everywhere.

Roll and Chill

Dampen your hands with water and roll the dough into smooth balls. Freeze for 20 minutes.

Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes or until the tops are set and the edges turn slightly golden brown.

Ice and Decorate

Dip the top of the cookies into the icing then top them with your favorite sprinkles.
