This blueberry popsicle recipe is really easy too. You only need three ingredients and a few tools to have a freezer full of popsicles for the week.

Blueberry popsicle ingredients

The three ingredients in this blueberry popsicle recipe: fresh blueberries, honey and basil (optional).

So technically, it could only be two ingredients if you want to skip the basil! But I love the fresh herb flavor it adds:)

How to make blueberry popsicles

You make a popsicle by blending the fruit and ingredients in the food processor until it’s broken down and smooth. From there, you’ll strain it to remove the skins and clumps from the fruit. Once you’re left with only the juice, you’ll pour each into the popsicle molds, insert your popsicle sticks and place in the freezer to set.

How long does it take to Make a Popsicle?

The process to make these blueberry popsicles only takes about 15 minutes to get them to the freezer. Once you have them in the molds, which takes about 15 minutes, you’ll place them in the freezer for 3 hours.

How to easily remove blueberry popsicles from the molds

The secret to removing these blueberry popsicles from the molds easily is by running them under warm water for a few seconds before pulling them out of the mold.

Tip the molds sideways and run the popsicle you want out under the warm water for about 10 seconds. Gently pull on the stick to loosen. If it doesn’t come out easily, run it under the water for a few more seconds!

Servings: 12 popsicles

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh blueberries
  • cup fresh basil optional
  • cup honey

Instructions

  • In a blender or a food processor, add the blueberries, basil and honey. Turn on high and blend until the mixture is smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour the mixture into popsicle molds and place the wooden popsicle sticks in about ¾ way down. If you want the popsicles to be completely smooth, you can pour the mixture through a thin sieve before pouring into the molds.
  • Place in the freezer for at least 3 hours to set. To easily remove them from the molds, run the outsides of the molds under hot water for a few seconds to loosen them.
Last step! If you make this, please leave a review letting us know how it was!
